WHAT IS DIRECT FAMILY CARE?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative model of comprehensive health care that focuses solely on the relationship between you and your physician. By eliminating fee-for-service billing and all third-party billing, Direct Family Care is able to truly focus on what matters - you and your family. For one flat monthly fee, more than 90% of your healthcare needs can be serviced by our Direct Family Care Clinic. We offer improved access with appointments often the same day or the following day, urgent care access to your personal physician via email or phone, and weekend office or home visits when necessary.
Our family loves Dr. McMillin. She has been my doctor since about 2013 and my sons since he was born in 2015. She has always been so kind and caring and never makes me feel like a dumb first time mom, even when I bring him in for silly stuff. My son is so comfortable with her and her staff and she calms all of my worry-wart mom nerves. She truly has been a God send and huge blessing to us!

What is Direct Primary Care?

ACCESSIBILITY

The Direct Primary Care model allows physicians to have much more time with each patient allowing for same day or next day visits that average 30 minutes to 1 hour. Providers are available after clinic hours for urgent needs. Home visits can be provided if required, other forms of communication are often utilized including email, text and video chat.

TRANSPARENCY

Prices are published, including significantly discounted labs. No more getting surprised by high medical bills! In the future, medications to be offered at heavily discounted prices.

AFFORDABILITY

Costs are significantly cheaper than standard medical office fees. Most families will pay less in direct care membership costs than they would in traditional medical expenses despite any existing insurance they may have.

MEET DR. MCMILLIN

Dr. McMillin is a Wyoming native, hailing from Gillette, Wyoming. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming in 2002. From there Kelly went on to attend the University of Colorado Health Science Center obtaining her Doctorate of Medicine. Wanting to return closer to home and her family, Kelly attended the University of Wyoming Family Practice Residency in Casper, Wyoming where after finishing she returned home here to Gillette. Kelly, her husband, and their four boys are actively involved in their church, recreation league sports and community.
Dr. McMillin practices full spectrum family practice caring for infants to the elderly. Family practice providers can many years provide 100% of a family’s care doing everything from wellness to chronic disease management to urgent care including fracture and laceration care. We are very excited for the possibilities direct primary care brings to patient care here in the Gillette Community.
I am very excited to bring this model of healthcare here to Gillette, my hometown! Serving the Gillette Community the past nine years has been a pleasure. However, I know in my heart the path healthcare has taken is unsustainable. I am excited to be able to spend more time with my patients without the worries insurance companies place on physicians or patients. My love of people and medicine is what brought me to family practice and that passion is what I want to share with each and every one of my patients!
